Short Getaway : Langkawi

Hi all!!

Hope all of you are doing great! Since next week is a long holiday, Chinese New Year, school break and all.. We decided to go for a quick holiday prior to the long holiday. Less people, less crowded. Haha… We chose Langkawi this time. We wanted to bring the girls to the beach. We have been to PD quite often and since mommy has a long leave (and that is 4 precious days!! Yup, 4 days is long for me!) So we decided to go somewhere a bit far from home.. Langkawi sounds like a good option.

Took the flight (arrived safely alhamdullilah!) and we stayed at Westin Hotel over the weekend. First, when we arrived, we found this in our room..

There were many more size bites chocolate. Tasha ate all! Hahahaha.. Only this one left for photography! And that is Bella’s finger, trying to steal more chocolate before mommy can snap photo! Behind the marzipan (the  white thing is called marzipan, right?) is a super delicious, rich and moist chocolate cake that kept us digging for more. Perfect cake, Westin!! I’m bringing back extra kilos on my thigh because of this cake!!

After cake, what did we do?

Yup, can’t wait for the sun to set. We are already at the beach..

This girl.. just didn’t care about the sun.. as long as she gets to play..

We rented a car from the hotel..

Super cute convertible Mini Cooper to enjoy Langkawi sea breeze! B and T loves it, but of course, there’s a reason it’s called Mini.. because it’s mini in size! Here’s my girls.. lying down in the car…

Legs up, folded! Hahahha..

Since we have very limited time in Langkawi, we chose to go only to two places that we thought the kids might enjoy.. And of course, it has to involve animals! My girls will go gaga when they see animals. First place that we went the next day is the Underwater World.

Bella and Tasha were super excited! They went berserk.. hahaha.. Running here and there, throwing tantrum when we wanted to leave the penguin aquarium. I think they secretly want to live with the penguins..

S is a certified diver. He used to dive a lot and he knows so much about sea creatures. All types of sharks, anemone and all these funny funny looking fish, he knows. Hopefully B and T will follow him, rather than mommy (who goes to the beach, lie down but avoiding the sun while sipping my pina colada, hahaha..)

The next place we went was the Wildlife Park.. Awesome place to bring the kids.

Bella trying to feed the crocodile with daddy’s help.. See, see.. B is pushing the chicken tied to the rope to feed that crocodile (with daddy’s help, of course!)

And that is her again… pretending to be brave to feed the hornbill. OK, she didn’t feed the hornbill. Daddy did it. Hahaha..

This one. the girls did it themselves. Vege buffet for the rabbits!

Check this out…

The normal peacock and the albino peacock!! Subhanallah, they are beautiful! Guess what, these two breeds mate.. (not exactly these two, these are male peacock. Just in case you didn’t know, in animal kingdom, always the male one is more attractive to lure the female) and they produce this..

OK, this is a female mix breed of those two above. Check out the colour!! The royal blue.. I’m so inspire for my baju raya this year!! Yup, inspired by a mixed breed peacock!! Hahahaha..

Hah!! There you go… I was probably a peacock in my previous life! Hahaha.. (the previous life part, is just a joke, just in case you want to argue with me! :p)

There goes our one whole day, spending times with animals. B and T had fun. If you get the chance, bring your children to visit these places. I’m sure they will love it and there’s a lot to learn even for us, adults!

Till then, happy holiday and Happy Chinese New Year to all celebrating.

XO
