Some of you might know I drink Horlicks to helps with my milk production.
This is because Horlick contains malt. I wrote an entry about how malts help to increase milk production some times ago. I notice with Horlick, my milk gets thicker as compared to the milk without it. I guess it must be more filling!
My Horlick is quite concentrated..
4 teaspoon of Horlicks + 1 teaspoon of powder milk = super nice and thick Horlicks drink!!
Thats my Horlick drink pretending to be Starbucks Coffee 😉
Anyway, the other day, I ran out of powder milk. I usually add some Anlene powder milk into my Horlick. And since my husband is going out (and I’m lazy to go out!!) I got him to buy me the Anlene powder milk.
Look what he got for me!!
Anlene Gold for 51 year and above!!!
WTH!! I am not 51, okay!! Hahahha
I’m only 25+3²-(3×2)+√4+2!!
So, I confronted him..
Me: S, why you bought for me this Anlene Gold??!! It’s for 51 and above!! Didn’t you read the packaging??
Hubby: Yeah, I saw that.. I thot maybe the elderly one would be more nutritious than the usual one.. *straight face*
He actually convinced that he’s right!!! Haha.. Unbelievable!!
Guys, it’s not about nutrition that I am concern. It’s the age!!

Eh, is it safe for a breastfeeding mommy @ pregnant lady to consume anlene at the moment? No harm to our baby ke? I’ve read in the package, ‘not for children under 12years old’… So I thought if we’re breastfeeding our baby, the nutrient will go as well thru our milk?

i tried milo with proto malt (i dunno what proto malt is!!) but the horlick mmg gives the thicker and more concentrated milk!!
indeed. i consume horlicks during confinement. mmg the milk looks thicker and more concentrated. my husband x putus beli stok horlicks and he always reminded me : “minum horlicks ni. i want not only quantity but quality milk for my child” *pasrah* tp sometimes i curik2 skip horlicks and drank milo. shhhhh… dont tell him k 😉

Do you add any sugar/susupekat? Coz horlicks is not as sweet as Milo..

but last time..i drink horlicks jgk as 1 of my milk booster…and bila susu kurang akan mencari sawi atau jantung pisang…coz i heard tu pn ala2 milk booster…Alhamdulillah managed to bfeed my son until he is 22months…almost hit 2 years..sbb had to be away from him atas sebab2 tertentu..trus since that production dropped!

i heard from a pakar nutrisi from MSN said, its better to take the anelene gold, for elderly coz d amount of calcium is higher in it wit reasonable price.
