Piercing T’s Ears

Tasha had her ears pierced yesterday!!!

That is like her birthday present for turning one!! Haha..

We did the same for Bella¬†when she turned one. At that time, I was scared because.. Bella was only one! But this time, I was the one who is over-excited and keep reminding my husband over and over again that we have to pierce Tasha’a ears!! Haha.. Well, Bella turned out fine. InsyaAllah Tasha will too..

So, yesterday was my post call day.. after coming back from work, getting the girls ready (my best personal record is 23 minutes to shower and get them dressed!!) It’s not easy you know. Of course it involves running around, pretend hide-and-seek, singing and rolling PlayDoh in between.. just to get them to shower and dressed! Haha..

The shop that we went is in Ampang. We looked around many places before when we wanted to pierce Bella’s ears but they don’t want to do for a year old kid. So, we travelled all the way to Ampang just to get this done..!

Just to answer some of the questions I got from my instagram.. This is the shop that we went to.. Kedai Emas Rasa Sayang..

If you’re coming from Jalan Ampang, you’ll pass Ampang Point on you left hand side, there will be the first traffic light in front of Ampang Point. Just go straight until you reach the third traffic light, that shop is at the shop lot row on your left hand side. Quite easy to find actually.. Exactly beside the main road.

That’s Tasha not knowing what’s gonna happen..

And that’s her sensing something is not right.. probably she was already planning to run at this time.. Haha.. Before piercing the ears, ethyl-chloride was applied to numb the earlobes area so the child will feel numb rather than pain.

She cried for a while and then got distracted by the cartoon Little Einsteins. No more crying after that ;)

Here’s the young lady…

That’s my girl!!

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Hello all!!

To cheer up your Monday morning.. here is B’s version of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

Sorry there’s no picture in the video because it was taken in the dark, before she goes to sleep. Yes, she sings for us.. not the other way round! Haha.. Most of the time we fall asleep first before she does.. and the only word she can pronounce properly is “diamond”!! Hahahha..

Enjoy!!

Drama, Tears and Two Broken Hearts

Many of my friends said, to wean off a toddler from breast feeding involves a lot of drama and tears and definitely two broken hearts!!

I have officially weaned off Bella from her so called “casual breast feeding”..

that means she only take breast milk when she feels like it.

I tried tandem breast feeding for two weeks after Tasha was born, but I end up looking almost like hantu Kak Limah due to lack of sleep and I have become a very impatient mother.. as example, I just want Tasha to finish drinking milk very fast because I have Bella crying wanting her milk too!! Which is not good for me and both my daughters. I don’t want Bella to have hate feelings towards Tasha. Well, I don’t know whether a toddler capable of having hate feelings or not.. but as far as I’m concern, that’s not good!!

So, I have decided, Bella has to stop. Alhamdullillah I managed to breastfeed her for one and a half year..

I know there’s a lot of petua and funny things that mommies did to stop their children from breastfeeding.. especially those toddlers yg penyusu tegar!! Some put ginger, some put asam jawa.. Hahaha.. I’m glad my situation with Bella wasn’t that bad!

What me and my husband did for Bella, we keep telling her, she’s a big girl.. repetitively!! We tried to emphasize to her that she’s now a grown up baby and she ¬†doesn’t do baby stuff anymore.

So, when it comes to breastfeeding, I told her that she’s a big girl.. and a big girl drinks from bottle or cup. I did that many many times.. When she’s in a good mood, she’ll say “OK”, smile and walk away.. when she’s in a bad mood.. only God knows! ;)

But I remembered my friends told me to be persistent. No turning back. No kesian-kesian because these toddlers are clever, if they knew they can manipulate you, like when they throw a tantrum and you give in. They will continue doing so.

So, persistent is the word!!

My heart breaks when I see her crying wanting mommy’s milk.. to be honest, I almost give in. But my husband said “Don’t!! We’ll soon be in trouble if we keep giving in..” Haih… *heart continues breaking..*

Alhamdullilah after about a week of mini drama at home, now Bella doesn’t ask for milk anymore.

She knows she’s a big girl and big girl drink from bottle or cup! And she doesn’t disturb Tasha menyusu anymore..

Fuhh!! Lega…

Bella, big girl already!!!

Bella, the elder sister..

Bella LOVES her sister sooo much!!

Too much sometimes!

She keeps wanting to kiss Tasha over and over again..

She will go.. “Mmmmmuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuah!”

The “-ah” only comes out when her lips meet Tasha’s skin. Mommy and daddy can’t cheat. We definitely can’t pull Tasha away before she kisses her!

Hahahah..

Sometimes, she becomes very protective over her little sister. She will say “Nnnnooooo!” to strangers who wanted to carry Tasha.

Just be prepared to hear Bella scream when you want to touch her little sister!!

And sometimes, she thinks she’s big enough to carry Tasha around..

This one will definitely give mommy heart attack!!

Busy B!

Missing Bella?

Here she is..

Busy! Busy! Busy!

That’s her new hobby!!

We take her ‘drawing’ skills a notch higher! She’s allowed to draw on the wall!! ;)

We painted a segment of her playroom in matte black.. and get her some washable crayon.. walllaaaaaa…

Now she’s one happy toddler!!

P/S: Dont worry mommies, you can remove the crayon with water ;)

Another Lady in the House!!

My little Bella has shown her interest in beautifying herself!! ;) We got this picture earlier on during our trip to Krabi/Phuket.

Somehow she managed to climb and reach the dressing table and play with my… urmmm… “first aid kit”!! ;)

She pretended like she was putting on the moisturizer, played with the compact powder and then she found my mascara tube. Trying to figure out what to do with this thing..

“I’ve seen mommy did this before.. maybe I should do this too…” Probably that’s what she said..

Hahahahha…

Me and my husband had a good laugh looking at her (Of course not in front of her!)

Daddy: She’s becoming like you!

Mommy: Yeah! Yeah! I trained her well!! -__-
