Deepavali 2010

Deepavali 2010 is special to me.. That was about one month plus after we got married.. It was somewhere in early November..
In my lifetime, I never had any headache before. Trust me.. Never! But a week before Deepavali.. I started to have headache.. morning, day and night.. and crazy mood swing (How can a newly wed has mood swing?? I was supposed to be in honeymoon phase!!)

Then I started to think.. what could possibly when wrong.. like some brain pathology, or some viral infection.. some hormonal imbalance.. I already made a checklist to rule out my illness, until my colleague told me to do Urine Pregnancy Test..

I gulped! Is that possible? It has only been a month?? So, I went to the pharmacy, and I bought like 5 different brand of UPT!! Hahahha.. I just wanna make sure there’s no false positive happening here!! 5!! For Godsake!! Hahahha… And no, I didn’t tell my new husband yet.. I was scared!!

Deepavali morning, I was on call..

(Come to think about it, I’m always on call on Deepavali!! Today pun on call!!)

Woke up early, according to my gynaecology knowledge, urine for pregnancy test has to be done early in the morning.. First urine in the morning because that is when the beta HCG hormone is at its highest level in the urine.. I drank glasses of water to get the system running ;) Hehe..

So, to the toilet I go… First time peeing on the stick!! Woohooo… Of course I didn’t manage to complete all 5 sticks!! Hahahah.. Only 1. Geezzzzz..

I closed my eyes, no actually I peeped with one eye.. it took a while for the blue line to come out.. First line is out. Then there was a faint second line. I fainted for 3 seconds! Two lines.. two lines.. two lines.. Breathe Halina breathe… This is huge. I better breathe.. It was surreal. Then I get ready to work.. I was on call remember. Hubsy was already awake. He was in front of the computer reading news. I told him… “I think I’m pregnant” and showed him the stick that I peed on. (Haha.. cleaned of course!!) I think his jaw literally dropped… and the rest is history..

Here we are.. 4 years later..

Tasha Is 1!!

Alhamdulillah..

Time really flies. Tasha is one year old today..

MasyaAllah, God gave us this cheerful, bubbly little girl to our family. I have no words to describe my feelings towards this little angel. When we first had Bella, I thought I have given my all to her. All my love that I have inside me, all for Bella. Before Tasha was born, I was worried I could not give Tasha as much love as I had for Bella.. simply because I have given all to B!! To my surprise, I was wrong.. the love just grow and grow and grow.. and I equally love these two girls so much, not even an ounce less between these two.

Subhanallah.

I guess that what mommies do, right?

To love..

Happy birthday Tasha!!

I love you more than you ever know..

The Laid-Back and The Clean-Obsessed!

Another outing day..

This time the girls get to enjoy the beach!!

We were in PD yesterday evening. It was just a day trip. We drove down to PD after lunch and already back in KL by 7pm. Both grandparents came and join us together with their cousins. We had real fun, we brought food from home, with tikar.. had our teatime under the tree. It’s just so nice to be together with the family enjoying the nature..

To our surprise, we gotta know Tasha is such a laid-back child. She loves running around (ok, not really running but walking..) with her barefoot enjoying the sand. She just sit on the sand and started to play with it (and that includes putting it in her mouth!! Haha..)

That one definitely she got it from her daddy!!

She doesn’t even bother the sand in between her toes. She loves it!!

And that’s her enjoying the waves and wet sand on her own. No drama at all!!

And Bella, on the other hand… is a clean-obsessed!! (Like mommy!! Hahah..)

She wanted to build a sand castle but doesn’t want her hands to get dirty. Haha.. I had to sit down with her and slowly make her touch the sand and explain to her it’s ok that her hand is dirty. It takes time but towards the end, she’s getting better at it!

And to get her into the water, is another episode of drama. Maybe the waves scares her. She’s only convinced to go into the water when I told her the sea is just a huge swimming pool.. Hahahha.. It’s true isn’t it??

And she believes me!!

Owh, and my sister (Dr Hamizah) is back in KL for her maternity leave. She gave birth to a beautiful baby girl last September, Rhea Aireen, now 3 months old. Here she is with her babatok..

Check out her thigh!! Yummehhh!!!

It was definitely a memorable day for all of us. Since we had too much fun.. and Bella needs more beach-training (hehe..) we definitely gonna do this more often!! ;)

Tasha’s First Few Steps

Tasha turned 10 month old a few days ago and she has started to walk without aid.

We are just so happy and we want to share her first few steps with you!!

A toddler and a baby learning to walk in the house!! I’m quite sure there will be more casualties at home!! Haha.. Wish me luck!!

When a Rooster Crows..

Living in the city and having a kampung which is not so kampung.. Bella has never heard a rooster crows..

Hahaha..

During our trip to the Bird Park, she had her first encounter with chickens and roosters..

Here’s her first reaction when a rooster crows..

Lazy Mommy Recipe!

Hi all!!

Gosh, my husband is not around this week. He’s currently attending a United Nation workshop in Beijing for a week. So, I’m left with my two girls running around like a circus. Haha.. Tiring but I’m having fun.. a mommy-kinda-fun. Yes, I miss having him around. It makes me feel more appreciative towards him.. Thank you, S for helping me with the kids.

Since I’m alone, well, not really because I have a stay-home-kakak who is helping me with the housework (no, I don’t call her my maid because she’s more like my family. Kak Yah has been with my family since I was 8 month old and now she’s staying with me!) She is definitely a great help but still it’s always me and my husband who does all the jobs with Bella and Tasha. Anyway, that’s not the point, I just wanna share with you a lazy-mommy recipe that I just discovered for Tasha.

I know it looks not so presentable.. Hahaha.. but it taste super yummy and packed with nutritions.. Guess what is that? Thats actually avocado and banana puree. Not need any cooking skill, just an avocado mixed with banana and smash it together. Avocado is very creamy, yummy and a little buttery with the sweetness of banana.. Memang sedap!

Avocado contains a lot of monounsaturated fat, omega-3 fatty acid, all the vitamins, potassium, folic acid and all the goodness thats needed for a growing child. I just don’t know why I didn’t serve this to Bella when she was younger..

Tasha loves it!!

Oh.. and guess what I discovered a few days ago…

Gigi!!

Tasha’s first gigi!! Yayy!!!

Hahahha.. Yup, I giggle like a small child when I noticed her gigi.. finally!!

Till then,

XO
